Woorndoo Mortlake Football Netball Club is a proud and passionate community club, united by our fighting spirit and love for the game.
Representing the towns of Woorndoo and Mortlake, we wear the Yellow and Black with pride, embodying strength, resilience, and teamwork both on and off the field.
Whether it’s football or netball, we compete with heart, never weakening until the final siren sounds.

Our Teams
Football
Woorndoo Football Club has a proud and long-standing history, with roots dating back to the late 1800s. The club was formally recognised in 1983 with a centenary plaque, marking over 100 years of football in the district. Over time, Woorndoo evolved through various competitions and partnerships, eventually becoming part of the Mininera and District Football League, where it continues to compete today.
Throughout its history, the club has experienced both challenges and success, including periods of recess and strong comebacks. Notable achievements include early premiership success, consistent finals appearances, and the development of competitive junior programs, highlighted by back-to-back Under 16 premierships in the 1960s. The club has also produced standout individual performers recognised at league level.
Today, Woorndoo-Mortlake Football Club remains a proud and resilient community club, known as the Tigers and represented by its iconic black and yellow colours. With continued investment in facilities, strong recruitment, and a commitment to both senior and junior development, the club continues to build on its rich history and competitive spirit.
Netball
Woorndoo Netball Club joined the Mininera and District Netball Association in 1987 and has proudly fielded teams across all grades ever since. What began on local tennis courts quickly grew into a strong and established club, with improved facilities at the football ground and a long-standing presence in the competition.
Over the years, Woorndoo has built a reputation for consistent performance, with regular finals appearances and multiple premiership successes, particularly in B and C grades. Even through challenges such as a brief recess in 1990, the club returned stronger, continuing to compete at a high level across both senior and junior grades.
A strong focus on junior development has always been central to the club’s success, with many young players progressing through the ranks into senior teams. Today, Woorndoo remains a proud, competitive club with a rich history and a strong community spirit, represented by its distinctive black and gold colours.
